Kim Aubrey

Kim Aubrey is a poet and short story writer. Her collection of stories What We Hold in Our Hands, published in 2013 by Demeter Press, received excellent reviews. She is an experienced workshop presenter and has run a successful writers’ retreat in Bermuda for many years. She talks about her workshop, Follow the Line, which she is giving at the Spirit of the Hills Festival of the Arts at St Peter’s Church in Cobourg on November 3rd and 4th (information about the festival at spiritofthehills.org) and read us two new poems which will be published in Hill Spirits 111 to be released in November by Blue Denim Press

Reva Nelson

Reva Nelson is the author of Risk It!, Bounce Back! And, her latest book, ‘Hippie Chick Abroad’ which is her successful memoir of the last year of the Sixties. She has been an actress, a teacher-librarian and ESL teacher and was the owner of “Words Worth: Keynotes & Seminars”for over 20 years. Last year Reva moved to Cobourg to enjoy the lake and small town life. She now facilitates groups and provides personal coaching on life changes and challenges.

Spirit of the Hills Festival of the Arts November 3rd and 4th: introduction

Felicity Sidnell Reid and Susan Statham are the co chairs of the Spirit of the Hills Festival of the Arts to be held on November 3rd and 4th 2017.  This week gives listeners an introduction to Spirit of the Hills, Northumberland Hills Arts Organisation, and to the festival itself.

Peter Lockyer

Peter Lockyer a journalist for many years in both Europe and Canada wrote numerous  articles and made countless video productions for CBC as an independent producer. He has worked as a media trainer and still does this for the Canadian military. In 2000 he returned to his home-town of Picton and became involved in historical preservation and restoration project. In order to raise funds, he developed the very successful   History Moments Series which are played on several TV stations including CHEX in Peterborough, CKWS in Kingston, TV Cogeco and in several theatres in the area. Peter is the chair of the Prince Edward County Heritage Advisory Committee and a member of the Prince Edward County’s 225th Anniversary committee being celebrated this year.
