Marie-Lynn Hammond

Marie Lynn Hammond has written poetry, plays, short fiction, radio essays and non-fiction magazine pieces, as well as two screen plays as well as co-writing a YA novel. She is also an experienced editor. But her primary focus has always been song-writing. She released her latest CDs in 2013, entitled Hoofbeats and Creatures. She is directing and performing a staged reading of her play De Beaux Gestes/Beautiful Deeds at the Spirit of the Hills Festival of the Arts. on November 3rd 2017

Jennifer Bogart believes there’s a spark of magic in every person, regardless of age or background. Her upper Middle Grade novels are written with bright and imaginative youth in mind. She has also written several novels she describes as women’s fiction.

Delivering inspiration since 2004, Cait coaches men and women of all ages, from tweens to those 75+, on how to tap into the best of who they are so that they can thrive lifelong. Mark Finnan

Mark Finnan is the author of Oak island Secrets, The Sinclair Saga, The First Nova Scotian (Formac Publishing) and The Boy who Sailed to the Stars.His plays include, Once Upon Eternity, Way to Go, The Corktown Man, The Ballad of D’Arcy McGee, and Without the Shedding of Blood which was performed very successfully at Lang Pioneer Village , as was Words from the Wilderness. Other plays The Master and Demetrius and The Innkeeper’s Story have been performed in various theatres. Gwyneth Hoyle

Gwyneth Hoyle after taking a degree in Maths and Science worked in Chalk River as a Human Computer, like the women recently celebrated in the movie Hidden Figures. For many years Gwyneth was the librarian at Peter Robinson College, Trent University. She always had an interest in the Arctic and canoeing and has written extensively about these. Now retired, she continues to research and write about northern subjects. In addition to articles on canoeing and the historic fur trade, she has written three books, Canoeing North into the Unknown, Flowers in the Snow, and The Northern Horizons of Guy Blanchet.

Carol Finlay

Carol Finlay is the founder and director of Book Clubs for Inmates. She was among 26 people announced as new members of the Order of Ontario on Dec. 15th 2016. Carol is an ordained Anglican priest, a retired English teacher and her organization now has about 80 volunteers running reading groups in 28 prisons in all parts of the country.
